Bookstall: St. Mark’s offers books and religious articles for sale at our bookstall located in the foyer of the church. The bookstall is open after each weekend mass but may not be fully staffed during the summer. Items not in our bookstall can be ordered and you will be notified when your item has arrived. We prefer cash for payment. Sorry, we cannot accept credit cards or debit. The purpose of the bookstall is to provide parishioners with excellent reading materials and religious items to encourage and strengthen your faith. We have great prices too!

Charismatic Prayer Group: The prayer group meets in the St. Anne's Room twice a month on a Monday evening at 7 pm.

EDGE: This youth ministry program is for youth in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. EDGE Nights are scheduled for every 1st and 3rd Friday of each month and run from 7 - 9 pm. Each EDGE Night features a game or opening activity, a talk, small groups, and a spiritual component that revolves around our EDGE theme for the year. Sometimes we even plan themed social nights where fun is our number one priority! In addition to EDGE Nights, we go on fun day trips, participate in parish activities, and serve others through community service projects. We invite You to EDGE where together we can explore our faith, build friendships, and grow in our understanding of who we are and why we're here. We hope to see you soon!

Funeral Luncheon: Founded in 1997 by members of the CWL, the Funeral Luncheon committee plays an important role in our parish community. It provides an opportunity for the bereaved family and friends to gather together after the funeral in the parish hall for food and refreshments. During this time, without stress and worry, the family can mingle in a quiet setting, supported by their friends. Not only does this group provide an opportunity for its members to perform a corporal work of mercy, but also allows its members to develop friendships within the parish. Working together preparing food and refreshments offers individuals a sense of purpose and an opportunity to feel they belong in a very special way to St. Mark’s. We welcome new people who can offer a small portion of time during the day a few times a year.

Knights of Columbus: The Knights are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, fraternity, patriotism, and defence of the priesthood. Since 1992, our parish Knights have been active in the lives of people by volunteering with several special projects. They raise funds for charities that feed the hungry and provide shelter to the homeless. They help seniors and young mothers. We welcome men at least 18 years of age, who are practicing Catholics and who share the same belief in duty to God, family, and neighbour. They meet on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:30 pm. Parish Movie Night: Movie nights are held once per month from September to June. Information about upcoming movies can be found in the church bulletin. We usually show a mix of good old Saint movies, modern inspirational films, or brand new action-packed Saint movies. There is something for everyone. The movies are free to attend. Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be on sale before the movie begins. Everyone is welcome to attend and feel free to bring a friend.

Rosary Apostolate in the Schools: This group of dedicated volunteers has the rewarding experience of teaching the children of St. Mark and St. Brendan schools the joy of praying the Rosary. School visits take place one day each month from October to May. All materials and training are provided.

Newcomer Welcome Lunch: Twice per year St. Mark’s invites all new parishioners to attend a free lunch to welcome them to the church. New members are offered a nice homemade meal with dessert and tea/coffee and juice for the little ones. We also offer a welcome package with information about the parish including all the parish ministries and services that are offered. New members should fill out a Parish Registration Form so that we may contact you.

St. Vincent de Paul: The mandate of this group is to promote and perform works of charity through personal service. Volunteers serve the needs of the poor, the needy, and the handicapped both locally and in the community at large. These volunteers act as an intermediary between people who wish to donate and those in need. For more information, or to donate, please contact: st.marks.st.vincentdepaul@gmail.com

Squires: The mission of the Squires is to provide young Catholic men the opportunity to develop their spirituality, community service, Catholic action, education, leadership, social skills, and physical well-being and therein strengthen their circle. We invite and encourage all Catholic boys between the ages of 10 and 18 years to join our circle. Meetings are regularly held once a month in the church hall.
